Used mainly internally for the treatment of colds, fevers, parasites and a whole other range of ailments, modern medicine has since confirmed that its historical use was correct as it has been shown to be quite effective against a range of bacteria and fungus.
Known to be quite effective against Streptococcus pneumoniae, which is responsible for pneumonia and a whole range of other things such as septic arthritis and meningitis.
The antiviral and bacterial properties of Citronella make it a powerful aide against the nasties of colds, flu, and bacterial infections.
Commonly blended with bergamot, cedarwood virginian, cedarwood atlas, cypress, fir silver, frankincense, geranium lavender, lemon, orange bitter, pine, sandalwood or vetiver.
To increase its effectiveness against bugs, try mixing with eucalyptus citriodora, lemongrass and cedarwood.
Insect Repellent - Commonly used within insect repellents as a base, great to be mixed with Eucalyptus, Lemongrass and Cedarwood.
Antiseptic - Known as an antiseptic that can protect and restore the respiratory system.
