Benzoin is a prized essential oil that is derived from the bark of trees within the genus of Styrax. A popular choice often used within perfumes, flavouring, incense, and even medicine! The reason for its use in the above is due to its unique vanilla-like aroma that will warm a room with ease.
Please note that this oil is rather thick, so please take note if using in a diffuser to dilute accordingly with water.
Circulatory - Often used either standalone or blended for poor circulation, rheumatism, arthritis due to its warming effect on the body. Blends include black pepper, ginger, juniper, lavender, rosemary and sweet marjoram.
Respiratory - Containing expectorant qualities, this is also used to treat colds, flu and bronchitis. Blends include eucalyptus, frankincense, niaouli, pine or ravensara.
Stress - Also known as a mild mood enhancer, people have reported in decrease in stress and anxiety upon using Benzoin.
